This is a link for videos produced by the NFB about learning through the arts. There are examples from all grade levels and many subject areas. Provides useful ideas for lessons of what learning through the arts could look like.
Provides information on how to choose the “right” school and was created to be the most comprehensive resource available for identifying who teaches what in art and art-related fields in Canada. Students, educators and counselors may search by area of specialization, by province and by school name. Looking at approximately 200 colleges, institutes and universities across Canada, the site also lists the courses that make up each art and art-related program offered. As well, the site lists who teaches what at more than 100 career colleges and vocational schools.
This link is to the National Gallery of Canada. You will find fabulous ideas for lessons plans in painting, drawing, sculpture and photography - all including descriptions of artists and their artworks.
